Today we learned words about Halloween in Japanese. We also learned about Japanese creatures like kodama, yuurei, etc.

Until the past few years in Japan, Halloween has largely been a holiday that international communities celebrated. However, in the past few years Tokyo Disney and Universal Studios Japan have helped to increase the popularity of this holiday.

Where are you from? Let's practice matching the names of the countries in katakana: You can see Erin's videos and do the practice activities at home. If you login, you can track your progress (login not necessary but nice for feedback.) This site has games and practice for you. Or if you want to watch on Youtube, you can find Erin's videos here (but there are no enrichment activities just videos.) Today we turned in our paragraphs about a friend's family. Rumiko sensei worked with five students who were unable to complete the assignment. Hopefully everyone is caught up now!
We practiced for the test with a vocabulary game (and kanji dice!) Rumiko sensei taught us about extended family terms. The test is FRIDAY. Be sure to study your 3-1 and 3-2 worksheet. Everything you need to know is there (and in your textbook under your bed!) I accidently wrote the Japanese II HW here yesterday!
